Week 3 Summary

Scheduled: 20-21 miles
Ran: 24.7 miles

Cross training:
Push-ups: 220
Crunches: 300

Week notes:
No rock climbing since Matt was out of town and had a busy week.
TNT kick off meeting was on Wednesday. Met my honored hero, Terry Keenan.
First group run was on Saturday.

Group run notes:
Ate toast w/peanut butter and drank water about an hour before the run.

Team in Training group run

Weather: Beautiful. Sunny. ~35-40 F.
Attire: Red & white Supernova Controls, short synth running socks, cotton briefs, black synth warm up pants, red synth long sleeve shirt, green GoLite synth wind shirt.

Arrived around 9:05 AM.
Minimal stretching.
Warmed up with group for about a mile.
Group thinned after that.
Ran majority of distance (8 miles) with an older woman named Kathy.
Stopped at 6 miles (full loop) with Kathy to drink water.
Started up again, ran 1 mile with Kathy and another young woman named Annabelle.
Kathy turned around at the mile mark.
Annabelle and I ran another 0.5 mile, then turned around and finished the remaining 1.5 miles for a total of 9 miles. Finished around 10:30 AM-ish.

Streched in the shelter. Ate two chocolate chip bagels, drank water.

People met:
Kathy - Running Bayshore Marathon. Approximately 55. Lives in Clinton Twp. Has been running for about 3 weeks total. Likes to bike, does tours. Has had her gall bladder removed. Kept pace with me.
Annabelle - Running San Diego Marathon weekend after Bayshore. Approximately 25. Lives and grew up in Dearborn. Brother in Pontiac. Attended Northern Michigan U in Marquette. Ran several 5K and 10K races and Dexter-Ann Arbor 1/2 Marathon last summer.

Scheduled: 21 miles
Ran: 32.2 miles

Cross training:
Push-ups: 175
Crunches: 235
Rock climbed on Monday.

Week notes:
Ran all of the miles on the treadmill. Visited Robin & Andy at the beginning of the week, so used their treadmill on Sunday.

I didn't actually sign up with the program until January 17th, but I figure I would include my workouts back to the week of January 8th when the training schedule began.
